You have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receipt, no questions asked. Here is everything you need to know.
As a consumer in the European Union, you have the legal right to withdraw from a distance purchase within 14 calendar days of receiving your order, without giving a reason and free of charge (except for return shipping costs).
This right is established in EU Directive 2011/83/EU and implemented in Belgium through the Code of Economic Law (Art. VI.47 et seq.).
| Detail | Your rights at SESE |
|---|---|
| Withdrawal period | 14 calendar days from receipt of your order |
| Return deadline | 14 calendar days after notifying us of your withdrawal |
| Refund deadline | Within 14 days of receiving the returned goods |
| Return costs | At the customer's expense, unless stated otherwise |
| Exception | Opened cosmetic products (hygiene, see §4) |
| Legal basis | EU Directive 2011/83/EU · WER Art. VI.47 to VI.53 |
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day on which you, or a third party designated by you (other than the carrier), physically takes possession of the goods.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us of your decision by means of an unambiguous statement (for example, by email):
| Contact | |
|---|---|
| info@sese.be | |
| Subject line | Withdrawal: order [your order number] |
| Please include | Name · Order number · Order date · Date received |
You may use the model withdrawal form in §6 of this document, but this is not mandatory. Any unambiguous written statement is sufficient.
If you exercise your right of withdrawal before the deadline, you must return the goods no later than 14 days after notifying us.
The return address will be provided in the confirmation email. Never send a return without prior confirmation from us.
The direct costs of returning the goods are at your expense, unless we have expressly stated otherwise. We recommend using a shipping method with tracking. SESE is not liable for lost return shipments.
Important: The right of withdrawal does NOT apply to cosmetic products whose seal has been broken after delivery, for reasons of health protection or hygiene.
Legal basis: Article VI.53, 5° Code of Economic Law (BE) and Article 16(e) Directive 2011/83/EU.
Skincare and cosmetic products at SESE can only be returned if ALL of the following conditions are met:
Products that have been opened, used, or whose seal has been broken cannot be accepted back for hygiene reasons required by law, unless the product is demonstrably defective or incorrectly delivered.
SESE reserves the right to refuse returns that do not meet the above conditions. In that case, the products will be returned to the customer at the customer's expense.
If you validly exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery costs (excluding any additional costs arising from your choice of a more expensive delivery method).
We will process your refund no later than 14 calendar days after receiving your return shipment, or 14 days after you provide evidence of having returned the goods, whichever is earlier. The refund will be made using the same means of payment you used for the original transaction.
